Micha Zumsteg translates thoughts and feelings about the future into auditory spaces. With "Future Dreams" one moves through spaces of thinking and feeling that Micha Zumsteg creates with a musical language that is both accessible and thought-provoking. Idyllic compositions stay on the edge of shifting into dark dystopian sonic fields using improvisation with timbre bitonality and extreme dynamics as central method. Sometimes the winding aspiring saxophone meets a dreamily brooding guitar that acts as a connecting element. Double bass sets strong impulses while the other instruments cavort around it. The drums occasionally create a cinematic foundation that the players had already withdrawn from themselves the moment before.
