Music inspired by the japanese haiku poet Matsuo Basho - Open minded avant-garde original urban and set apart from canonical idioms the album .Basho' finds its own singular voice. A floating cell of iridescent bliss Like the haiku jazz is committed to the moment to the immediate and fleeting. In keeping with its aesthetic nature jazz neither can nor wishes to present anything finished just as the haiku intends only to render a skeletal impression of a scene. The refusal of excess generates respect for the subjects of these mediums even as it creates distance through sharpened abstraction. In this way a clear view of things can be attained. The haiku is a glimmer a snapshot-as if casually dashed off-that evades both meaning and interpretation a nothingness in service of form and beauty: to understand the haiku in its essence and non-intentional dialectic demands both mental humility and the capacity for contemplative absence and devotion. ＜収録内容＞ 1.
